LG’s mainstream residential lineup. The Dual Inverter compressor uses twin rotors to cut vibration, noise and energy use while delivering more precise temperature control than single-rotor inverters. In Singapore you will find these units across HDB BTO estates like Punggol, Tengah and Bidadari, and across condo developments from Jurong East to Pasir Ris.

Servicing priority: Accurate refrigerant charge and clean evaporator coils. A Dual Inverter running on dirty coils is like running a marathon in winter boots: the compressor is doing all the work and none of the efficiency advantage translates into lower bills.

ARTCOOL Designer Series

LG’s premium aesthetic range. ARTCOOL units feature mirror-finish, picture-frame or gallery-style front panels that turn the indoor unit into a decorative element. Same Dual Inverter underneath, but the panels require careful handling during every service.

Servicing priority: Panel protection. Our technicians bring panel protectors, microfiber cloths and non-abrasive cleaners. We remove the panel only when necessary, and we test-fit before re-securing to verify zero flex or misalignment.

Ceiling Cassette and Ducted Commercial

For offices, retail and F&B premises, LG offers ceiling cassettes and concealed ducted systems with smart energy management features. Common in office towers around Raffles Place and in retail along Orchard.

Servicing priority: Airflow distribution, filter condition and drainage. F&B installations in particular accumulate grease and cooking vapour quickly and often need more frequent servicing than a standard residential schedule.

Smart Features We Maintain During Every Visit

ThinQ Wi-Fi and Smartphone Control

Most current LG units ship with ThinQ smart connectivity for smartphone control, scheduling and energy monitoring. During servicing we verify the Wi-Fi module is awake, reconnect it if a power cut knocked it off, and walk you through any app-side issues. LG requires 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, which catches out customers running a 5 GHz-only router.

Ioniser Plate Maintenance

Most LG residential units include an ioniser plate designed to reduce airborne bacteria and allergens. The plate needs periodic cleaning to maintain effectiveness, and we include this in our standard servicing. In households with pets or dust allergies this is the component that actually matters.

Energy Monitoring and Early Warning

LG’s smart units can display energy consumption data through the ThinQ app. A sudden climb in usage with no change in your lifestyle is an early warning sign that coils are fouling, refrigerant is leaking, or a component is struggling. Catching it early saves a compressor repair down the road.

Drain Pump Failure in Condo Installs

Some LG condo installations use a condensate drain pump to push water uphill to a drain point when the fall-to-drain is limited. These pumps can fail, clog with biofilm or simply burn out after years of operation. The symptom is water dripping from the indoor unit even though the drain line looks clear. We test drain pump operation on every service and replace failed units.

PCB Surge Damage

LG electronic control boards can be sensitive to power fluctuations, which happen in older HDB estates during thunderstorms and load switching. Symptoms include erratic operation, failure to start or persistent error codes after a power cut. A surge protector on the aircon circuit is cheap insurance.

Outdoor Fan Bearing Wear

After 5 to 7 years in Singapore’s salty, humid air, the outdoor fan motor bearings can wear, producing a humming or grinding noise from the ledge. Early bearing replacement prevents a full motor failure.

Slow Flare-Joint Refrigerant Leaks

Like every split system, LG units can develop slow refrigerant leaks at the copper pipe flare joints over time. We check these joints with an electronic leak detector at every service and repair any leak we find.
